WEBAshlea Kosikowski is a news anchor and reporter at WECT and FOX Wilmington. You can watch her at 4 p.m. on WECT News First at Four and 10:00 on FOX Wilmington. In 2014, Ashlea was voted "Best Newscaster" by the readers of Encore. In 2015, Ashlea and her co-anchor, Jon Evans, were awarded the TV News Anchor Team of the Year award from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. Ashlea lives in Wilmington with her husband, Brian Parke, an entrepreneur who currently owns SONA Wellness, a fitness club and studio with locations inside CastleBranch in Wilmington and at 38 N. Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach. Brian & Ashlea are the proud "parents" of a German Shepherd, Archie. Prior to joining the WECT team, Ashlea worked at a public relations agency based in Wilmington, representing biotechnology, medical device and pharmaceutical companies from around the nation. Before moving to Wilmington, Ashlea worked as a news reporter at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ashlea began her career in television news at WTOV-TV, in her hometown of Steubenville, Ohio. Ashlea is an alumna of Ohio University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the prestigious E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. During college, she worked at WOUB-TV, a PBS affiliate. In her spare time, Ashlea enjoys boating, traveling and spending time with friends and family, including her parents who visit for beach vacations from Ohio and her in-laws who recently retired to Ireland.
